How the company referral process works

Understand attribution, permissions and the steps between an introduction and a company data partnership.

A referral introduces an authorised company representative to the buyer. The company then decides whether to pursue the opportunity and agrees any data licence directly through the buyer’s process.

Use the correct application route

micro1 says the representative must apply through the referrer’s unique link for attribution. Applications made independently cannot be attributed retroactively. If the company has already applied, disclose that before relying on a new referral.

What happens after an introduction?

1. The company provides its initial application.
2. The buyer assesses whether it is a fit.
3. The parties discuss scope, handling and commercial terms.
4. The company completes the required agreement and onboarding.
5. Payment follows the applicable contractual milestones.
